Welcome to the first Hillsdale PTSO Bulletin of the 2026-2027 school year!

I hope everyone has a wonderful start to the school year. There is always so much energy during the first few weeks as students reconnect with friends, settle into new classes, and begin finding their place in the Hillsdale community.

Each Friday throughout the school year, you'll find this bulletin in your inbox with the latest and greatest happening around Hillsdale High School. From important school announcements and upcoming events to student activities, volunteer opportunities, booster news, and ways to support our students and staff, this will be your one stop source for staying connected and informed.

If you haven't already, I also encourage you to join the Hillsdale PTSO. Membership is completely free, and joining is one of the easiest ways to show your support for our school community. Whether you volunteer throughout the year or simply stay informed through our communications, every member helps strengthen the partnership between our families, students, teachers, and staff.

HHS Phone Free School Family Webinar - August 4th @ 6:00 pm

For the coming year, all schools within the San Mateo Union High School District will be implementing a phone free school policy for students. This includes a ban on all personal devices and the use of only a SMUHSD issued Chromebook during the school day. SMUHSD believes that a bell-to-bell cell phone policy is a strong step toward protecting student learning, well-being, and school culture which creates an environment where students are more present, engaged, and connected to one another. Please join our HHS administration for a webinar to learn more about the implementation of this policy to best serve our students and families.

For families of incoming students: 

Welcome to Hillsdale! We hope your student will join us on August 6th for Maze Day-- Hillsdale's incoming student orientation! This orientation is for both incoming 9th grade students and students transferring into other grade levels.

In addition to the student orientation, we will also host a meeting for incoming parents/guardians from 8:30-9:15 in the Auditorium.

Maze Day will end for students at 12:30pm.
