What's Happening at Hillsdale

Knights Families,

Happy 2024!! We hope that you've enjoyed the holiday season. We wanted to make sure to get this week's information to you, so you can start the week knowing what's up and coming.

We start the Spring Semester when we return. Please note that Monday, January 8 is a Professional Development Day for teachers/staff, so there is no school for students. PTSO will be providing lunch for the teachers/staff from Bizza (located on 25th Ave, close to the Event Center) Pictures will be shared in next week's bulletin. For those interested in donating food items to our January or February Teacher/Staff Hospitality events, click here. Hospitality

We will be welcoming students back to school on Tuesday with an odd block schedule. If your student's schedule may have changed (they aren't taking the same classes they were in the fall), they can find directions about how to access the new schedule here Spring Schedule

Monday, we are having our monthly PTSO General Meeting! All are invited to attend. We will be meeting in person, in the library, but you are also welcome to join the meeting via Zoom (glitches all fixed) Note: the Zoom link that was previously shared has been changed, the attached flyer has the current link) For those who have never attended a meeting, 2024 is a great time to start. Here is a brief general meeting overview: We will hear updates from the administration, leadership/activities, the foundation and other boosters, plus PTSO gives updates on events/activities. You are welcome to ask questions, volunteer, or maybe just sit, listen, and observe! We would love to have you stop in!

There is also an Athletics Booster Meeting--Monday at 7:00pm via Zoom only. Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/6745223790#success Passcode: xbWV2W

Wednesday, January 10, there is a College Financial Aid Webinar being hosted by the district. Click here for links/information Financial Aid Webinar -or- En Español

This week is the final call for Senior Portraits--Jan 11-12 Senior Portrait Info Click the link for information and times. This is FREE (with options to purchase) for each Senior so they can have pictures in the yearbook.

We are still in Winter Sports Season, but before we know it, Spring Sports will be here--tryouts and clearance information can be accessed through this link. Spring Sports Info Speaking of Winter Sports, we have a Basketball Quad on Friday, January 12. For those unfamiliar with what a quad is---it is a basketball evening where JV Girls, JV Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys all play at home, one after. (Note: the freshmen play on Thursday)

On behalf of the Peace Pantry/Community Garden and Community Closet team, as well as those who receive support from the Peace Pantry, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude. If you're doing closet clean outs during break, the Community Closet is looking for clothing donations, especially jackets & warmer clothing.

Enjoy the weekend and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday!
