What's Happening at Hillsdale

Knights Families,

Well, here we are...the last bulletin before graduation. We will still do one last goodbye on Friday though!

Wednesday Night, the sophomores presented their "Memory and Legacy" projects to their families, friends, and peers. Although the weather had a chill, it was heartwarming seeing the students so excited to share what they created. Thanks to the students, Sophomore teachers from all houses (we know it was a team effort), and families who attended for making this community building evening such a success!

Today, the students will be starting to take final exams. We want to remind everyone that they are in the final stretch...don't give up now! Your hard work from this year will pay off!! Check the weekly Bell Schedule for information.

Tonight is our Spring Concert--the final one of the year. Check the flyer below for details!

This weekend, Softball, Baseball and Track and Field have CCS games...Softball is at home. Scroll below for more information.

Thursday, our Seniors take the stage in the morning for graduation rehearsal and then things get real with graduation at 5:00pm. Be sure to arrive early for parking, or better yet...CARPOOL! Senior Families, check Parent Square and other emails with graduation instructions. There is a lei fundraiser (Flyer) benefitting the Class of 2026.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend (don't forget, no school on Monday) the coming week will be a busy one, so don't forget to check your emails/Parent Square/ Bulletin for up-to-date information!

Talk Across Time

Talk Across Time invites teens to record a meaningful conversation with an older adult they know, such as a grandparent, neighbor, or mentor, using three thoughtful questions we provide. These conversations aim to:

  • Foster understanding and compassion between generations
  • Preserve the personal and historical stories of older generations in a digital archive

With low and flexible time commitment, Talk Across Time is a great supplemental summer activity for students. Students will get the chance to earn community service hours, contribute to meaningful government research, and capture the memories of an older adult in their life. See this Summary Flyer for more information.

Egg Donations for Peace Pantry

We're seeking egg donations from families with flocks! The Aquino family is coordinating the collection, packaging and donation of spare eggs to the Peace Pantry. With egg costs rising, families are struggling to afford them.

Last week, the Aquinos donated fifty eggs thanks to their four backyard hens and another gracious family's flock. We're hoping to find more families with chickens who can spare a few eggs weekly.

If you have backyard chickens or spare egg cartons, we can pick them up Wednesdays from your doorstep. Please email jenchristgau@gmail.com to coordinate.
