What's Happening at Hillsdale

Another Friday, another bulletin...

We are nearing the end of the first grading period. This means, families--check in with your student on their attendance and grades. The grades that are posted will effect your student's eligibility for athletics, other extra curriculars, as well as dances. If you have concerns, contact your student's advisor--they are there to help and support!!

This week, our sophomores partook in the Battle at Dawn. This annual battle was kicked off this year by Mr. J (who originated this event). It was an honor to have him come back to visit. The sophomore class humanities team did an excellent job organizing this activity for the students.

You may have noticed that our freshmen have decorated the halls with posters...election posters. The freshmen who are running have been actively promoting themselves for office. Today, they will be presenting their speeches. Then, comes voting... Congrats to all who have decided to run, as this is no "easy" task!!

Tonight, there will be a Back to School Concert at 7:00pm at HHS. This is your first opportunity to hear our talented musicians this school year. If you choose to attend, you won't be disappointed.

Next Monday and Tuesday, educators from Anaheim will be visiting/observing HHS so that they can implement Smaller Learning Communities on their campus. It is always such an honor to know that the state recommends our school to be the leader and show others what we do.

Also next week, our Ritmo Latino students have organized a week of exciting activities to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. They have also organized a schoolwide dance on Friday evening. ALL are welcome!! Scroll to the bottom for more information.

The Senior Class is having an ALUMNI TAILGATE AND BBQ--(a tri-tip fundraiser) next Friday night alongside the home football games!! Pre-order your meal BY 9/25, there will not be any tri-tip sales at the game. Act now, so you don't miss out!!

As always, there are LOTS of events and activities listed after this blurb. Please take the time to scroll through this bulletin in its entirety, so you will be "in the know" about what is going on around campus AND districtwide.

Please let us know if you'd like to get involved in any of our parent booster groups. We are happy to connect you with the correct group.

Have a fantastic week! Go Knights!!
