Knights Families,

As we get closer to the end of the schoolyear--and next week IS the end of the schoolyear, we need to remember that we would never have gotten to where we are without the wonderful teachers and staff at Hillsdale. Wednesday, we had our monthly teacher appreciation with treats and goodies for them. Thanks to all who donated and contributed to the treats for the day. This Monday, the PTSO will be providing lunch to our faculty and staff as a kick-off to the final week of the 2022-2023 schoolyear. We truly can't thank them enough for all that they do!

This week, we had our Sports and Senior Awards Knights. Congrats to all that were recognized and awarded. Thank you to James Madison and Laura Burtness for organizing these evenings for our students to be honored. Through your support of the PTSO, we were able to provide treats for Senior Awards Knight.

Yesterday, we celebrated our Latinx graduates with a ceremony that was organized by the Latinos Unidos Organization. Felicidades Classe de 2023! Next Thursday morning there will be graduation rehearsal, then in the evening, we will have graduation for Hillsdale's Class of 2023. If you are a senior parent, you and your student should have received instructions regarding rehearsal, graduation, and tickets. 

Today, we have our final spirit rally of the year, and it is always bittersweet. For the seniors, it's another "last" for them, but as the saying goes..."we save the best for last" so we know it will be amazing!!

Tonight, we have part 2 of our Spring Concert series and our Dance Final Showcase. It is one last opportunity to see our amazing performing arts this schoolyear--come on out to support!

Next week is finals week! A detailed schedule was sent out in the weekly administrative memo. You can also check the Hillsdale Website for details and times.

Senior families--graduation is creeping upon us, so savor every moment. Freshmen-Junior families, it will be your turn before you know it! (and the class of 2027 is getting ready to be the new kids on campus)

Community Garden

Hillsdale Community,

On May 24 @ 5:00pm in our Hillsdale Community Garden, we will celebrate the three year anniversary of our Hillsdale Peace Pantry and we will recognize the dedicated volunteers who continue to show up and give their time to ensure that all Hillsdale families have access to a basic human need. . .food. If you would like to come by on May 24 for our BBQ or want to reconnect with these volunteer efforts please RSVP to bstevenson@smuhsd.org by May 21. Everyone is welcome. 

Summer Peace Pantry Volunteer Opportunities 

This summer we will continue to operate our Peace Pantry Emergency Food Drive Thru every Friday and we will depend on volunteers to step up as some of our core group of volunteers start to take summer vacation. If you would like to sign up for a volunteer shift, please sign up for a Friday in May/June/July. We are open every Friday except June 30.
