What's Happening at Hillsdale

Knights Families,

The time is fast approaching...we will be showing our appreciation to the HHS faculty and staff for all that they do to make Hillsdale such an amazing place for our students (and their families) to be a part of starting May 5. This year, we have a theme...Wicked. (Flyer)  To make the week a success, we need YOU. If you are able, we'd love for you to donate to the event. We are in need of decorations, food, and little treats to give throughout the week. Click here to donate Thank you in advance for your continued support. We can't wait!!

Next week, we are having our monthly PTSO meeting (in person AND virtually) ALL families are invited to attend. We will be talking about upcoming events, activities, and so much more. See flyer here We would love to have you--no experience needed!

We need YOU, we are still looking for PTSO, Athletics, and Foundation members for the 2025-2026 school year. Without active members, Booster Parent Clubs can't successfully accomplish all that they do. No experience needed, just a willingness to support Hillsdale. PTSO open positions include Board and committee members. If interested, please reach out to us and we can direct you. If you'd like to reach out with questions or interest, click here 2025-2026 Interest

Today, our Juniors (and Seniors) finished their state testing. PTSO gave each Junior an Its-It to celebrate all their hard work and efforts. Families--thanks for your flexibility this week with the changes in schedule.

Tonight is Culture Knight @ HHS where there will be Cultural Food Sales, Traditional Games, Music Performances, Art, and much more. All students and families are welcome to attend this community event. Flyer We hope to see you there!

We can't end this blurb without mentioning...The Rita Moreno Awards are regional awards recognizing outstanding achievement in high school musical theater from San Mateo County down to Kern County in Southern California. Hillsdale was nominated for Overall Production for Cabaret and Grace McCollum was nominated for Lead Actress for her performance in Cabaret. Congratulations to Grace, the Cast/Crew of Cabaret, as well as our Drama Program and Boosters!

It's not too late to purchase tickets for our Golf Tournament and Auction!! Ticket sales will close MONDAY, so act now!! Want to play and support HHS Athletics--great, sign up now! Want to support, but you don't play golf?? That's ok---purchase tickets for the dinner and auction portion. This such a great community wide event that we know you'll enjoy. Flyer

Just a reminder that things start to get busy toward the end of this month and in a blink, we will be in May...make sure to stay up-to-date on everything you need to know by reading through the weekly bulletin sent out by PTSO and the Sunday Memo.

Youth Heart Screenings Save Lives!

1 in 300 youth has an undetected heart condition that puts them at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). The current standard approach to health history and annual physical examinations misses about 90% of at-risk youth. Early detection of heart abnormalities, which often go undetected until a traumatic cardiac event, can save lives.

“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It's easy to say, ‘It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.” Fred Rogers
