PROJECT LOCATION:
The intersection of Vermont Route 116, Shelburne Falls Road and CVU Road in the town of Hinesburg.
PROJECT SCOPE:
Construction activities include road widening on VT Route 116, Shelburne Falls Road and CVU Road for the addition of new turn lanes and replacement of the existing traffic signal. Culverts on Route 116, Ballards Corner Road, Shelburne Falls Road and Pleasant View Lane will be replaced as part of the project.
As part of Governor Scott’s “
Work Smart, Stay Safe
” order, all construction crews are currently subject to certain safety restrictions.
Planned construction activities:
(Please note that the construction schedule is subject to change due to any of a number of factors. The contractor attempts to adhere as closely as possible to the schedule each week).
Work planned for the remainder of this week and throughout next week includes construction sign installation and the installation of erosion control/environmental protection measures.
Any necessary traffic control measures (barrels, cones, and/or concrete barriers)
will be installed as well.
Traffic Impacts:
Single lane traffic can be expected on side streets as well as on Route 116.
Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist with the flow of traffic.
Please expect some delays at the intersection throughout the week next week.
