Construction Update
Route 116/Shelburne Falls Road/CVU Road Intersection
DATE: Thursday, 7/15/21

TRAFFIC IMPACT:

The traveling public should expect alternating one-way traffic within the project area between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday next week (7/19-7/23). Please expect delays and add extra time to your travel plans.

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:

All construction activities will be completed during daytime work hours next week.

Crews will be completing any necessary project clean up next week, including the Northeast corner of the intersection.

Work on the signals is scheduled to be be finalized. Signals will be operating in their final phases mid to late week next week.

Line striping of the entire project is scheduled to occur next week. Layout of the permanent line configuration is scheduled for Monday. Once this has been completed, crews will grind and paint permanent lines and symbols.

Once line striping and roadway markings have been completed, the new traffic pattern with turn lanes will be fully in effect.

Line striping and roadway marking is dependent on favorable weather and surface conditions. Adverse weather can delay/alter the painting schedule.
