2018-20 Improvements

We're excited to reveal the Hippodrome improvements and look forward to, once again, being able to enjoy this beautiful, historic space with our neighbors.
The City of Gainesville’s Wild Spaces & Public Places and Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs are pleased to announce completed improvements at the Hippodrome Theatre. These efforts go towards fulfilling the City Commission’s goal of having a world-class parks, recreation and cultural affairs infrastructure.

The staff at the Hippodrome has produced a virtual video tour to provide a sneak peek of the first and second floor lobby improvements here. An online album of the lobby areas can also be viewed here.

Please know that we are following all CDC guidelines while projects are under construction.
