As we enter the last work week of July, several important economic data points will be forthcoming. Tomorrow we’ll see the S&P Case-Shiller national home price index and the year-over-year results from May. New home sales from June will be announced tomorrow morning too. On Wednesday, June durable goods orders and pending home sales figures are out that morning, while Fed Chairman Jerome Powell will hold a press conference that afternoon. Thursday brings us jobless data, while on Friday we’ll see inflation, personal income, and consumer spending figures from June.
Companies with earnings calls this week begins today with NXPI Semiconductor, Squarespace, and Whirlpool. Alphabet and Microsoft headline the Tuesday calls and are joined by 3M, Archer-Daniels-Midland, Chubb, Coca-Cola, Fiserv, GE, GM, Navient, and UPS. Wednesday’s calls are headlined by Meta Platforms, Boeing, Norfolk Southern, T-Mobile, and Waste Management. Thursday brings us calls with Amazon, Apple, Chemours, Comcast, and Mastercard.
