Back to School!

It's almost school time, what an amazing summer! So many wonderful success stories of college kids preparing to be healthy and their parents going to the next stage of their life. 

8 weeks to greatness was a tremendous success again this year! Jenny lost 32 lbs!! The big reveal will be in the H&H newsletter this November and in a 3 page spread in January's 435 magazine. I have personally rocked this for 13 years and am so grateful that every year the person picked is appreciative. This one was referred by Meredith Dubill who was our amazing 2015 8 weeks to greatness winner. Read the blog HERE if you need a little inspiration this fall to come join us.

It just takes a leader to show others what can be accomplished. This August 2nd was the start of my 17th year as His & Her Fitness. We opened the studio doors in Leawood 14 years ago. I feel so blessed to have many of the same clients and of course the new faces that come in and see such amazing results from the inspiration of those current and longtime clients. Keep being unique because it's only .01% of the world that lives a healthy lifestyle.

Christina's Kitchen
Peachy Salad

One ripe peach, chopped and take seed out
One teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
Two tablespoons of olive oil
Two tablespoons of water
One tablespoon of honey and a dash of sea salt
Blend in a magic bullet

One cucumber, chop
One zucchini, chop
Mix together
Serve with one cup of mixture

Add your meat, 4 oz of salmon or chicken, chopped

Client of the Month

After a life of not exercising and raising three kids, I was extremely intimidated to walk through the doors of H&H. Little did I know that I was not just joining a gym...I was making a life changing decision to make my health a priority. I knew several people who had seen great results here but I had major doubts about what it could do for me. 

It didn't take long under the guidance of the staff that I started to see and feel a difference. Not only was I seeing results on the scale, but I was feeling stronger each week and noticing fewer aches and pains that I had been living with. Weekly measurements helped to keep me motivated, supportive trainers kept me working hard and a family atmosphere kept me coming back! My own family started to notice as well and before you knew it we were all eating healthier and exercising. I didn't realize how one person making a healthy lifestyle change could have such an effect on others! 

This summer I was blessed to have my teenage daughter join me in the gym before heading off to college. We had such a blast working out together with the most amazing trainers anyone could ask for. I watched as they patiently taught her the skills she will need to carry on healthy choices as she moves away...and she won't be intimidated to walk into her gym like her mom was!! It's truly been a blessing to be part of the H&H family these past six months. Thanks everyone!

Josh Bennett

My name is Josh Bennett and I am a client and employee at His & Her Fitness. This summer, I worked from 6-10am during the week, and then followed it up with baseball tournaments all weekend. I was able to use my time management and communication skills to motivate clients and become better at my job. I was also able to become more involved in the community by helping Christina with the Sacred Steps charity walk and encouraging my brother and girlfriend to help me collect donations for the Caring for Kids charity. Lastly, I always kept the gym organized and I became CPR certified so I am very thankful to be chosen as the employee of the month at His & Her Fitness.
