Setting Goals for 2019!

Weather outside is nice and chilly, perfect for creative cardio! Just around the corner we have NO FLUFF January where you can rock creative cardio with the team at 8 and 9am for this month if your a first timer $10. If you bring a friend or loved one with you $10 each. Because it is a time of the year that the holiday gains can show without some proactive lifestyle habits. When it is cold we tend to bundle up and be less active so having a plan helps with this. Your plan can be as simple as I will make it for cardio and I will not skip workouts and making some amazing food prep that warms the heart also. Little tips this holiday season EAT before you go, wear form fitting clothes, drink extra water and stick with your goals to lose or to maintain. Start making your 2019 goals now with your trainers like what action you will take on Spring Break and Summer. Set some unique goals, we have two teams rocking a team triathlon, one client is rocking the run, another the swim and the last biking...or just find a 5k to walk with a friend or loved one. Do something that keeps your mind with a goal!

I was totally surprised and totally honored to receive this year's Client of the Year award from His & Her Fitness. For many reasons 2018 has been a difficult year for me, so to receive this award this year was particularly sweet and meaningful. No matter my mood when I enter H&H, I always feel better when I leave. Keeping up (as best I could) with my strength training and cardio, really helped me relieve stress and stay balanced. I appreciate the family atmosphere at H&H, the fun people I have met there, the special friends that I have made, and my relationship with Christina as my "third daughter". Both the clients and the trainers are supportive through good times and bad. The His & Her Fitness experience has made a real and positive difference in my life -- I recommend it to everyone! Thanks to all!

What an honor and privilege to be named His and Her Fitness team member of the year. When I started working here this past April I would have never imagined I would receive such an honor. I have been blessed to work with so many amazing trainers and feel like we are a family.  Before coming to His and Her Fitness I was a stay at home mom with my beautiful daughter Maci Ann. Prior to having Maci Ann I was a physical therapist in a Sports Medicine setting for 16 years. Athletics have always been a part of my life. I played softball, basketball and volleyball growing up and was privileged enough to play softball and volleyball in high school and then softball in college.  After college and many shoulder surgeries I could no longer play the sports that I loved and was looking for something to fill that void. It was at that time that I found the gym. The gym became very important to me. It was my one or more hours to myself. It allowed me to be healthy and push myself to be the best I could be. I was very blessed to compete as a natural athlete in figure and win my Pro card and became the Yorton Cup Tall Class World Champion just nine months after having Maci Ann.  This lifestyle has been so beneficial for me. As a stay at home mom it allowed me those few hours just to myself which then enable me to be a better daughter, wife and mother. This lifestyle was a great influence on Maci Ann as well. She would go to the gym with me and learn about fitness and taking care of yourself. She also learned about food prep, eating healthy and setting yourself up for success. This healthy lifestyle has benefited Maci Ann greatly for now she is now on both a competitive softball and basketball team and excels through hard work and discipline.

As we prepare for the holidays I can't help but think how very blessed we are.  The ability to live a healthy lifestyle and pass that onto our children and grandchildren is priceless. It is truly one of the best gifts we can give.  Thank you to each and every member of His and Her Fitness for providing a atmosphere that is like family. Each and everyone of you have become dear to me. To my fellow co-workers how very blessed I am to have each of you in my life...you push me each and everyday to work hard and be my very best!  Thank you His and Her Fitness and here's to making 2019 even better!
