Time for Fall Success!

Wow it's fall...this is no time to fail! Set a goal to get out and rock that creative cardio as much as you are able to. The winter is near so stop in at H&H and hit the cardio! Put it in your calendar, you can always do a scheduled time with any trainer or we have group cardios throughout the week by appointment. Also don't be tempted by food pumpkin everything (latte, pies and more!)...think of healthy options as substitutes for a party you are hosting or taking with you to go like these pumpkin muffins!

This is the time of the year where we have so much fun because it's a blessing to have proactive clients. Thank you His & Her Fitness clients for knowing it is better to rock a healthy life functionally, mentally and of course overall healthy prevention!

What a privilege it is to be named team member of the month especially with all the amazing trainers we have at His and Her Fitness. I feel truly blessed to work with such an amazing group of trainers and feel we all bring our own special niche to H&H.

At a very early age I learned that my daughter Maci Ann loves to do what I would do or her father...she loved to follow in our footsteps. She loves to play softball like I did and loves to lift heavy like her daddy. Our kids mimic what we do...we lead them by example. So why not lead them to a healthy lifestyle. This can involve many aspects of life. Get out and do things with your kids and be active. Ride bikes, go for walks, or like many clients have done this past summer workout with them! Teach them at a young age that fitness is fun! This also leads to the food they see us eat as well. Maci Ann has grown up seeing meat grilled on Sundays after church and meals prepped for the week. Typically her meals are balanced meals and we try to provide healthy snacks. She has grown up eating baked sweet potato fries since 18 months old and loves them. Snacks for in between softball and basketball games consist of fruit, protein balls, and pita chips. Guess what she loves them all and so do her teammates! Her eating habits have become the norm for her, she doesn't think any differently and she has had a great influence on her peers as well. Our children are a precious gift, so why not give them a healthy lifestyle that they too can pass onto their children. Be a positive example for them to follow!

Julie Hinrichs

This honor is because of Rusty Smith! In June 2017, my husband and I moved back to Johnson County after spending 12 years in Colorado. Rusty is an old KU AKL brother of my husband's who introduced me to H&H.

I have always had a gym membership, but I was slowed by bad knees and arthritis from years of athletics, nursing (dialysis), skiing and lack of motivation. After 2 knee replacement, a revision and retirement, I wanted to get healthy and strong. I was lonely, tired and stressed from the move and so frustrated by my repeated falls. I started training with Christina in February of this year and then quickly joined the training group of Jenny and Brenda. It was a perfect fit! We all feel more energetic, less stress and a sense of well being and accomplishment after a great workout.

Every day I look forward to my time sweating and destressing and joining Jenny, Brenda and Christina 2 days a week. I am blessed to be surrounded by such caring, knowledgeable, quality people like Christina, Bryan, Monica and Sarah. AND their clients are outstanding as well! I love the connection we have and I look forward to our time together where we work hard, laugh and show concern for each other. These joyous motivated people share common goals of cardio, weights and nutrition. Despite my ability to speak sarcasm fluently and eating out way too often and enjoying happy hour way too much, I have lost weight and inches, gotten stronger and I haven't looked like an eggplant from falling in a long time.

Thank you to everyone at H&H. We connected at the perfect time and I am so thankful for all that you do. Thanks Rusty!!
