Biographer of A.J. Downing honored at Downing Park
Last week family and friends of Dr. David Schuyler gathered at Downing Park in Newburgh to pay tribute to his life and work with a memorial tree planting.

Orange County Genealogical Society to host Virtual Seminar
If you're interested in attending, please fill out the registration form and return it, along with payment (Registration Fee: $20.00), to: OCGS, Virtual Seminar, 101 Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924. Submit your registration as soon as possible as the deadline is April 15th.
State of NYS Museums in 2020 - IMPORTANT SURVEY
Please take MANY's 2020 State of NYS Museums Survey. They will use your responses to create a tool for the field for advocacy, fundraising, and benchmarking.

They have extended the deadline to Friday, April 16.

This survey would be best answered by a staff or board member who has access to year-end financial statements, and/or annual reports for 2019 and 2020.

It should take you approximately 30 minutes to answer the questions. If there is a question you can't answer, you may return to the survey at a later time, but you must use the same device and web browser.

2021 Gravestone Cleaning Workshops
We are now choosing cemeteries for our 2021 series of gravestone cleaning workshops. If you are involved with any cemeteries that would benefit from our attention, please let us know. We cover the cost of training for 16 volunteers per event.

Our tentative dates for this season are May 22 (reserved), June 19, August 14 (reserved) and September 18 (reserved)

On Saturday, April 24th from 1-2PM, the Moffitt Library will host the County Historian, Johanna Yaun, for a presentation about William H. Seward and Geraldine Ferraro, two people born in Orange County who came very close to the Presidency.
