Bailey & Wyant, PLLC is pleased to announce Jason P. Pockl, Esq. as its newest Member in our Wheeling Office.

Pockl grew up in Wheeling and graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University. After a career in juvenile justice in Pennsylvania and Florida, Jason attended Duquesne University School of Law. After graduation, Jason began his legal career with Bailey & Wyant, PLLC, then briefly worked for a national law firm before returning to Bailey &Wyant in 2014.

In the field of Defense Litigation, Pockl has proven himself by representing municipalities, corporations and individuals in the areas of government liability, employment discrimination, construction matters, chemical exposure matters and insurance bad faith claims. Pockl currently represents clients in the ever-evolving asbestos litigation docket in West Virginia. As a supporter of local business, Pockl represents small businesses in West Virginia in the areas of insurance, contracts, human resource matters, business entities and regulation. Pockl has achieved successful results in Federal Courts, State Courts and administrative agencies.

Pockl and wife live in Wheeling with their son and daughter. He is energetically involved in his community, as a nationally licensed soccer coach and serving as Vice President of the Wheeling Area Soccer Association. He is also an active member in his church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Pockl and his wife are certified foster parents and regularly open their home to children in need throughout West Virginia.

Pockl is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice in West Virginia, the Northern District of West Virginia, the Southern District of West Virginia and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
