"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."
- Margaret J. Wheatley

At Hively, we care about kids! We work every day to ensure that kids and their families have the resources they need to feel cared for, the resources they need to thrive!
We know you care, too! Every day we are amazed at the generosity of our community! You stop by to drop off donations of diapers and baby wipes. You bring us your gently used toys, books, clothes and even furniture. You volunteer your time and talent to help with projects like bagging diapers, sorting donations, helping with our community closet and participating in our fundraising events. We are so grateful for YOU!

If you haven't gotten involved in Hively, we invite you to become part of our thriving hive! Attend a workshop, volunteer your time, attend a Hively fundraiser (like the upcoming Tips for Change event at SideTrack Bar + Grill), donate. Everyone is welcome at Hively! We hope you'll find the resources YOU need to thrive! We love our hive and we'll love it even more if you are here.

Hively in the News!
Interested to find out how "Hively" came to be? Click below to read the Pleasanton Weekly interview with Hively CEO, Kelly O'Lague Dulka, MSW.

Kelly shares her excitement behind the unveiling of our new name, logo and the exciting new programs we are providing to Alameda County families!
This summer Hively partnered with the City of Pleasanton to provide summer camp for kids ages 8 - 14 years old!

Those who needed additional support in building positive peer relationships, problem solving, and communication, joined Hively staff for two weeks of summer fun! Laughter was heard throughout the agency as friendships were created, games were played, and self confidence, and leadership skills were built...all in time for a new school year!

Kids practiced deep breathing techniques through bubble art, brainstormed ideas on how to appropriately initiate conversations through team building activities, made lavender slime for times when bodies need to be calm, worked in teams to do a STEM building challenge and SO MUCH MORE!

This is only the beginning for Hively, stay tuned...future camps to come!

For our Child Care Providers
ECE Workforce Study

Child care providers are the key to providing quality early care and education (ECE) for children and families. Yet little is known about California’s current ECE workforce, particularly in terms of its demographic characteristics, educational attainment, training, tenure, turnover, wages, benefits, well-being, and working conditions.
Click below to learn about an upcoming opportunity for child care providers to participate in an online survey. and why it is critical for you to provide your perspective to better inform decision makers as they address the wide variety of needs for the workforce.
