Happy Holidays, Friends!
Greetings!

I hope you are all having a safe, healthy, and enjoyable holiday season so far! I am looking forward to the celebrations and coziness of the month ahead… We will be with family in Minnesota, low-key but much-anticipated! What about you? How are you celebrating the holidays and New Year?

After January 1st, I’ll be hunkering down BIG TIME to work on the soundtrack for the Broadway production of Macbeth! I have been listening to the audio recording of the cast they sent over late last month and building cues up around it. I’m in the studio a couple nights each week right now and that will only grow more frequent as February approaches. It’s a big project but so far it’s been a lot of fun building soundscapes and themes… I can’t wait for you folks to hear it eventually!
TWO HOLIDAY SHOWS THIS DECEMBER!
A square that reads Sunday Sessions Live with Gaelynn Lea on December 12th. A yellow star on the right side says "Special Guest James Ian" and there is a picture of James on the left and Gaelynn on the right in the bottom corners.
I have two really fun holiday shows coming up that I thought you might want to know about:

On December 12th... I have my monthly “Sunday Sessions” YouTube show - for the December concert, my guest is the R&B singer-songwriter James Ian from Los Angeles, California. We'll chat about his music and acting careers, his experience with the neuromuscular disability called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 3, and his latest collaborative project with the SMA community called "SPACES". I will then close out the show with a couple of Christmas carols on my violin. Captions will be provided for Deaf and hard-of-hearing audience members. TUNE IN ON YOUTUBE BY CLICKING HERE!
A square that reads "Christmas Carol Sing-Along - Live with Gaelynn Lea and her parents on December 23rd. At the bottom left corner is a picture of Gaelynn Lea holding her violin. On the bottom right corner is a picture of Gaelynn's parents.
On December 23rd... I am hosting my second annual Christmas Carol Sing-Along on Zoom (with my very own parents, Peggy and Tim, as the back-up band!) on Thursday, December 23rd at 7pm Central Time! We'll be singing the old traditional carols together and then we'll have a mini-hangout afterward on Zoom so we wish each other Happy Holidays face-to-face... It's fun for the whole family! Want to join in the fun? Then PURCHASE YOUR TICKET FOR THE SHOW BY CLICKING HERE! Can't afford a ticket? You can still watch the show on YouTube by clicking here (YouTube doesn't include the Zoom hang-out after). As always, my Patreon Members get the Zoom link for FREE as a token of my appreciation for their monthly support... You can join my Patreon Team here. Hope to see you at the show!
FREE HOLIDAY ALBUM... JUST HIT REPLY!
Gaelynn's Christmas Album cover, abstractly looks like pine needles, branches and lights. In faint white text it reads "Deepest Darkness, Brightest Dawn" and Gaelynn Lea
Since last month’s offer of free music went over quite well, I wanted to do one more download giveaway in 2021… This time for my Christmas album! I know that not everyone celebrates (or even enjoys!) Christmas, but I am a huge sucker for the holiday. Like a BIG TIME sucker. Our apartment is already decorated and Christmas music is playing pretty much 100% of my waking hours... Sooooo, you can imagine how much fun I had recording this album back in 2016!

Just press “reply” to claim your free download of “Deepest Darkness, Brightest Dawn” - and if you're enjoying the music & shows I've been sending over, your support on Patreon is always very much appreciated!
I am hoping the end of December can be a time of reflection and stillness before the light begins to return and a new year dawns. Take care, stay safe, and keep in touch... And Happy Holidays, wherever you are in the world!

In Love, Peace & Hope,
Gaelynn Lea
