Hockey Helps the Homeless – York Region tournament is back for another year!

Join Blue Door on December 11, 2026, at the Magna Centre in Newmarket for an exciting day of hockey in support of a great cause.

Registration is now open for players and volunteers! Lace up your skates or lend a hand off the ice and help make a difference in the community.

A Day of Thanks and Gratitude

Support vulnerable individuals and families in your community

This Thanksgiving, Monday, October 12, 2026, as many gather around the table with loved ones to share a meal and reflect on what we’re grateful for, take a moment to think about neighbours in our community who continue to experience food insecurity.

In March 2025, Canadian food banks recorded more than 2.1 million visits in a single month, nearly double the number recorded in 2019. One-third of those visits were from children.

At Blue Door, 100% of donations directly support our mission, including providing meals to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Just $10 can provide two school lunches for children.

A small act of generosity can make a meaningful difference. Together, we can help more people in our community feel supported, cared for and connected.
