It will be on Monday, September 16 at the Bowe House Inn near Tiffin University. Social Hour begins at 5:30pm and dinner is at 6:30pm. Cost of the event is $10.00 and this is a covered dish and BYOB. Email Denny if you can help. More details will be announced soon, so save the date.
2020 Republican National Convention
State Chairman Jane Timken sent this email about next year's Republican National Convention:

Good Afternoon,
Many of you have asked about the process by which Delegates and Alternate Delegates will be chosen for the convention. I hope that this email and the attached application will be helpful in clarifying the process.
The Republican National Convention will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on August 24-27, 2020.
Ohio will have a total of 82 Delegates and 79 Alternate Delegates to the convention. Thirty-four (34) Delegates and thirty-one (31) Alternate Delegates will be elected “At-Large.” Three (3) Delegates and three (3) Alternate Delegates will be elected in each of Ohio’s sixteen (16) Congressional Districts.
Petitions for electing Delegates and Alternate Delegates, both at-Large and in congressional districts, must be authorized by the presidential candidate.
Delegates must pay all costs of attending the Republican National Convention. Also, those selected will be called upon to assist with the petition process, if needed.
If you, or anyone you know, would like to be a Delegate or Alternate at the Republican National Convention in 2020, please fill out the attached application by August 15th and email to Steve Buckingham
Delegates and alternates will be selected at a later date with the authorization by the presidential candidate. Applying to be a delegate or alternate does not guarantee your selection.
Thank you for your interest and support. I look forward to working with you to carry Ohio for our Republican nominee.

a prediction from 1858
From the Atlantic Monthly:
As early as 1858, Punch magazine commented on the prospect of new technology creating “house telegraphs” that would put one constantly “within five minutes of every noodle who wants to ask you a question … every acquaintance who has a favour to beg, or a disagreeable thing to communicate.” Sound familiar?

Thanks for everything you do for the Seneca County Republican Party.
