IC Bus has announced this year’s dates for training. IC Bus was the first bus OE to offer factory training for our dealer and customer’s technicians. The 11th year of training will be held in Tulsa, OK at the IC Bus Factory. This five day training includes a Tulsa bus plant tour and comprehensive training on parts, service and maintenance.

IPTA REGIONAL MEETINGS

IPTA has another great line up of presenters scheduled for this year’s regional meetings: Max Christensen, Department of Education, will present a program named, “Distraction or Driving Aid?” He shared this program last November in Ohio at the NASDAPT Conference. Hoglund Bus Company representatives Marc Steele and Danny Thede, will be presenting the program, “Transportation: Expense or Investment?” IMMI Student Transportation representative, Monica Coburn, will provide attendees the opportunity to see the real time, “Seat Belt Test Crash Video of a Side Impact!” The video was recorded at the crash test in October 2016 in Westfield, Indiana. Thomas Bus Sales representatives, Mike Shetterly and Dale Mohr will be presenting the interactive session, “How to Properly Secure Wheel Chairs (All Types)” The final program is a comprehensive train the trainer program, “You’re The Driver, You're In Control!” presented by Iowa Bus Inspectors, Verlan Vos (Central Iowa) Joe Funk (Eastern Iowa) Tom Simpson (West Iowa). Like last year one inspector will be present at each location. Please join us for these outstanding regional training sessions in April. For the OnCommand Link devices, the customer will need to contact their IT to confirm network will need to have navota.navistar.com (167.6.236.140) white-listed for access over ports 80 and 443. Ports 3197 and 3199 also need to be open for the OnCommand Link to connect with the device management server to communicate data.
