Psalm 141

Silence for meditation

P May our prayers come before you, O God, as incense, and may
your presence surround and fill us, so that in union with all
creation, we might sing your praise and your love in our lives.
C Amen.

Reading Colossians 3:12-15

Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.

Blessing of Face Masks

God of grace, We give you thanks for the abundance you share with us in all things. You gather us as your beloved ones, and call us to care for one another and to keep one another safe.

Bless these face masks which we wear during this time of pandemic. May they protect us and all those we encounter from the threat of illness Bless us as we wear them, and keep us all safe and in your care.

May all our efforts to guard and protect one another in love become a shining witness to the love of Christ, who gave his life for the life of the world. Amen.

Silence for meditation.
P The Light shines in the darkness
C and the darkness has not overcome it.

An angel went from God to a town called Nazareth to a woman
whose name was Mary. The angel said to her, “Rejoice, O highly
favored, for God is with you. You shall bear a child, and his name
shall be Jesus, the Chosen One of God Most High.” And Mary
said, “I am the servant of my God, I live to do your will.”

Lord's Prayer

P God, remember us in your love, and teach us to pray:

C Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your
Kingdom come: your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we
forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time
of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the
power, and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
