2016 was an extraordinary year for BFF!
- We moved into a beautiful new office!
- We expanded our elementary school program to serve over 40 students!
- 100% of our seniors graduated high school!
- Our first Bachelors of Science degree was earned at FAU and two Associate degrees were earned at PBSC!
- 13 dedicated staff members now make up the BFF Team!
- Over 110 students are benefiting from the BFF program!
- The community support of time, talent and treasure was more than we could have ever hoped for!
We can't wait to see what 2017 brings!

BFF HOLIDAY PARTY!
It is truly a joy for us to spend time with all of our students together. This year they made ornaments and enjoyed a magic show, and had a visit from Santa Claus with his friend the Elf, of course, who stopped by with gifts for everyone. We would like to thank Pollo Tropical for donating a wonderful dinner for the party. It was a very special event! Everyone had a great time and went home with lots of wonderful presents and great memories. Pictures!

BF ELF: THE GIFT of GIVING!
This young man expresses his gratitude for being able to "give" during the holidays. Our
BF ELF program gives every student the opportunity to experience the joy of giving. They choose a special person and what gift they would like to give them. Our donors purchase the gifts for them, and we bring it to school, along with wrapping paper, tape, scissors, ribbon, bows and holiday cards. It was a huge success!

The Giving Tree of Temple Beth El made the holidays very special this year with their incredible generosity. They filled wish lists for each of our children, ensuring they received exactly what they wanted. We are so appreciative of their support and thoughtfulness during the holidays, and throughout the year.
|
This networking group held a toy drive for our students that provided us with birthday presents and other gifts that we need throughout the year. This amazing event was held at Pinon Grill where we were able to meet many wonderful local community members who generously donated to our kids. Pictures!

The Spirit of Giving supports many local nonprofits throughout the year in so many ways. They helped make the holidays even better for the children in the Best Foot Forward program by providing each one with a special gift. We are truly grateful for this amazing partnership.

The neighborhood, Four Seasons of Delray, held a food drive for our students. Many residents donated food, which we brought back to our office. Our kids went virtual shopping, via Facetime, and chose the food they liked. Afterward, we delivered the food to them, stocking up their pantries!
|
Each Thanksgiving Day, Busy Body holds a special holiday spin class and outdoor Zumba class on behalf of BFF. DJ Jean graciously provided the music. This year's event was dedicated to BFF Christo Maccius, who we very sadly lost this past year. The support is truly appreciated and looked forward to each year! Pictures!

Every holiday, Campus Management supports our students with a pajama drive. Each employee is paired with a BFF child and purchases new pajamas for them, to go along with their presents. We give them out at our holiday party and they are always very appreciated.

Max Dudak is a seventh grader at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale. Max enjoys running more than anything, so it was only fit for him to team up with BFF by literally putting his best foot forward.
Max has been competing in Pine Crest cross country meets and local races, encouraging family and friends to pledge money to support him and BFF. So far, Max has competed in eighteen races, with six first place finishes! THANK YOU for choosing to support BFF!

SOROPTOMIST!
Cheryl Cherney was our nominee for the Soroptomist Women of Distinction. We chose Cheryl because of her unwavering support and dedication. Cheryl works tirelessly on behalf of the children in the Best Foot Forward program. She is a wonderful spokesperson, encouraging everyone to get involved. She is truly a BFF and we are so lucky to have her.

Laura McCutcheon was this year's nominee for the Junior League Woman Volunteer of the Year because of her passion and commitment for helping the children in BFF. Laura is so involved and is always thinking of more ways to help. She is an important part of our agency and we are very proud to call her our BFF.
