D'Ivonne Holman passing the baton to Yolonda Faulkner

For the past year, D'Ivonne Holman has successfully coordinated FACETS' events by incorporating many creative features in addition to managing an extensive volunteer corps. With FACETS' recent growth and our volunteer needs increasing, D'Ivonne will be focusing her energy on Volunteer Management. She is happy to pass the baton of " Events"  to our newest team member, Yolonda Faulkner who will serve as FACETS' Event Coordinator. What is the best part of fundraising events?
The feeling right before the doors open when the vision has come together and all that is left is for people to enjoy
the event.

What are you looking forward to?
I am most looking forward to using FACETS' events to bring in new volunteers and donors to support our mission to end homeless and poverty in Fairfax County.

What do you want people to know about FACETS?
Our events are crucial to our success! We are able to help people because of your support. I'm excited to work with those of you who have contributed to the success of FACETS' events.

November in Review

A Taste of Fall with FACETS
On November 5th, FACETS welcomed nearly 300 supporters at our 17th annual A Taste of Fall with FACETS. There were many games, a signature drink, unique Wingspan items, a silent and live auction, local cuisine and wine, and live music. The successful night was not only made possible by our generous donors, but also our amazing team of volunteers who worked hard to ensure our guests had a great experience.  A big thank you goes to the nearly 40 volunteers that made the event an evening to remember.

Thanksgiving Hot Meal
Every night FACETS ensures that those in need of a hot meal receive a nutritious  meal through our partnerships with area families and faith communities. Each Thanksgiving, the Swedo family coordinates the holiday meal, feeding over 30 people 2 special meals that day.  This year we would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to the Swedo and Beatty families who prepared and delivered this year's Thanksgiving meal. Their support helped FACETS make a difference this holiday season!
