Upcoming Concerts in Area 10
With this newsletter edition, you are introduced to a format that features all your holiday concert performances. Or, at least those that information has been received about. It is hoped that this can be planned as an annual newsletter edition.
Thank you to each of those choirs who submitted a poster and concert theme concept that makes one wish she/he could attend each concert. I look forwarding to seeing more next year.
You will notice in the line up a poster for a Walla Walla Valley Bands Concert. This concert is a special one for this year in that a handbell choir and a handbell duo will be part of their program. How cool is that!! Your editor will be very busy that day!
So enjoy perusing through the list of concerts to be given starting this month and going into January.
Even if you can't attend one, let someone else know so they can enjoy some wonderful holiday music - Handbell style!

Bells of the Desert will present "Christmas Treasures" in three performances this December and January. We will be presenting a selection of our favorite holiday tunes, from traditional carols to newer radio hits. There's sure to be something to get your toes tapping! This season, Bells of the Desert is playing in support of the Tri-Cities Food Bank. We will donate half our net proceeds from these performances to the food bank and also run a food drive. Please consider bringing a donation of non-perishable food to support this important organization and make the holidays a little brighter in our community.
Parkland Bells of St. Andrew’s United Church in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada is celebrating 20 years of offering public concerts to the community. Over the years, our handbell music ministry has grown from a single choir ringing two octaves of bells to two choirs ringing five octaves of bells and handchimes and, following the pandemic, back to a single choir five octave choir. Through it all we have welcomed a growing following of repeat guests for whom we are truly thankful. Our concert this year will include Christmas carols shared by our full choir, our quartet, a handbell solo and a bell tree solo. To add variety, our concert will also include vocalists, a pianist, a harpist and a clarinet duet. We’ll wrap up with an audience participation song wishing everyone a Merry Christmas! A freewill offering will be received and, as has been our tradition, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charity. This year, the charity chosen is the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton and Area. We hope you will join us and ring in your Christmas season!
