Chapter Holiday Event Results | |
This year's Chapter Holiday Event was held at Singing Hills, Willow Glen Course. We had 64 players turn out in their festive attire. Despite a brief frost delay, it was a beautiful day.
Golf was followed by a festive afternoon that included a luncheon, opportunity drawings, silent auctions, awards, and recognition of our members, sponsors, and board.

The Game of the Day was the
"Ornament Game."
Each foursome was a team in which each player was assigned a specific color and played their ball on every hole. After each hole, the foursome would proceed to the basket of ornaments at the next tee to look at the two colors to determine which two team members' scores would be recorded for the team's score on the prior hole. If you happen to have had a "bad" hole, you just hoped it wasn't your color!!!
And yes, the two colors picked were just "usually" the two worst scores on the prior hole..... or so everybody said!!!

The 1st Place winners each received a $30 Golf Mart Gift Card, and the 2nd Place winners each received a $20 Golf Mart Gift Card. CTTP winners each received a $10 Golf Mart Gift Card.

Holiday Event Silent Auction and Opportunity Drawings | |

We hold a silent auction and opportunity drawing at our annual holiday event. This year, the items available were fantastic. Some proceeds go to the YMCA Armed Services San Diego and the donations made during registration. Thank you all for your donations at registration and for participating in the silent auctions and opportunity drawings.

Players Cup 2024 Final Results - NET and GROSS
What an exciting finish for the Net and Gross Players Cup events.
GROSS
Deb Finlon, with a 2nd place finish at our Signature Event, the Turkey Ball, earned 30 points to take the lead and win the 2024 Gross PC Cup. Nan Circo placed first in the Turkey Ball to earn 40 points, but it wasn't enough to propel her to the top. Cindy Mason earned 16 points on Turkey day to put her only nine back from Deb and takes solo 2nd.

The Net Division fluctuated throughout the season but, towards the end, was dominated by a handful of players at the top. Interestingly enough, NONE of the Top 5 earned ANY points during the 1 1/2 times points event at Turkey Ball. But none of the winners had enough points to get them into the top 12. Denise Nelesen wins with her closest competitor, Jax Jacquez, 23 points behind. Great going ladies!
