We will feature free Christmas Concerts, Horse-Drawn wagon rides on Ezra Rust Drive, open houses at many venues including the Childrens' Zoo, Andersen Enrichment Center, Japanese Tea House, The Montague Inn and the Mexican American Council. Free pony rides for the kids in Borchard Park, food vendors on the streets and much more.

Christmas Parade

The 2021 parade will begin at the corner of Washington and Johnson. We will then go south on S. Washington to Ezra Rust Avenue and disband on Ojibway Island. 
Featuring: Marching Bands, Drill teams, Floats, Historical vehicles, Santa, and more.

HOME VISITING - A HEALTHY START FOR KIDS ... AND FAMILIES.

Being a parent doesn’t come with instructions. But Home Visiting services might be the next best thing. Home Visiting programs are available to expectant mothers and families with children from birth to age five. During scheduled home visits, we’ll answer your questions and share topics based on your family’s needs, such as:
  • A healthy pregnancy
  • Positive parenting
  • Health and nutrition
  • Child growth and development
  • Healthy moms and babies
  • School readiness
  • And more


IMAGINATION LIBRARY
FREE BOOKS FOR KIDS AGES 0-5 YEARS OLD

The Imagination Library program is available to children throughout Saginaw County between the ages of Birth-5 and provides the opportunity for children to receive FREE, age appropriate books mailed directly to their homes. After the child is signed up for the program, they will receive one book, per month, until their fifth birthday.

LENDING LIBRARY
The Great Start to Quality Easter Resource Center offers materials and resources for parents, center based programs, school teachers and others to check out at no cost. The lending library offers age-appropriate, hands-on learning materials for children birth to five. It's the same concept as checking out a book from your local library. Fill out a request online or stop in to see what we have.

Enrollment for the Emergency Broadband Benefit is now open. The temporary benefit provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible consumers who are struggling to stay connected during the pandemic.
