NEW IBERIA, La. --- Rip Van Winkle Gardens along with The Frosted Apron are very excited to announce the 2nd Annual Frosted Christmas at the Gardens.
The event will take place on Sun., Dec. 15, inside the newly renovated Bayless Center at Rip Van Winkle Gardens (5505 Rip Van Winkle Rd., New Iberia, La.). Participants can choose from two sessions: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or 2:30 - 4 p.m.
Attendees will get to decorate their own Christmas themed cookies with Stacey from The Frosted Apron (two each), write a letter to Santa, enjoy delicious ice cream with a choice of topping from Baskin Robbins, play games, meet Santa and
have a chance to win a door prize. Make sure to bring your camera to capture those sweet moments.
Each participant will also receive a coupon that will offer a buy one get one free entry to tour the mansion, which will be decorated beautifully for Christmas. Please note that the afternoon participants will need to come back at another date to use their coupon as the tours end at 4 p.m.
Recommended age to participate is 4 to 12. If participant is younger, please note they may need extra help from a parent/adult to decorate their cookies. Cost is $28 per child who is participating in the activities, which needs to be paid in advance through
Eventbrite
. You must purchase a child's ticket to get in. For each participating child, three nonparticipants can get in free. Make sure you attend at the time you choose and
arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of the event to sign in. No walk-ins, pets, or alcoholic beverages are allowed at this event. Payment is nonrefundable.
