Holiday Greetings from the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood!
We wish everyone a happy, safe and prosperous holiday season. Take time to cherish memories and make new ones with family and friends, and don’t forget to take time for you. We thank all of you for subscribing to the OCF e-newsletter, and we look forward to continuing our work with Ohio’s fathers and families in the new year, for the betterment and well-being of Ohio’s children.
Commissioner Spotlight: Scott Neely

Scott Neely has been a commissioner since OCF’s founding in 2006. As the government affairs director for the Children’s Hunger Alliance, he’s committed to ensuring that children receive healthy food, nutrition education and physical activity. He previously served for 26 years as a legislative liaison for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, and he’s the proud father of three. He kindly sat down with us to share his thoughts about parenting and the commission’s work.
Funding Opportunity for SFY 2020/2021

Check your email in February and March for our SFY 2020-21 Request for Grant Application announcement. Once again, we will be looking for strong proposals from community organizations that can help fathers be the best parents, partners and providers they can be for their children and families.
Stay Tuned for the Upcoming SFY 2018 Annual Report

We’re busy finalizing data to include in our state fiscal year (SFY) 2018 annual report. Early results show positive trends, and we look forward to sharing more soon. New this year, our seven grantees used a web-based case management system called “Efforts to Outcomes.” This allowed them to enter data directly and immediately, increasing transparency, accountability and making it much easier to analyze results.
