Volunteers Painted Their Hearts Out on November 18

Five affordable Port Charlotte rental homes owned by the Peace River Community Housing Project (PORCH) were painted on one delightfully cool morning. The homes are leased to deserving disadvantaged residents. Forty + energetic TEAM volunteers tackled the PYHO (Paint Your Heart Out) project. The event was funded by the Punta Gorda Rotary Club Foundation. PORCH envisions a day when safe, affordable housing is available to all disadvantaged SW Florida populations, including disabled veterans, the underemployed, homeless, and those with special needs.
