Another year is coming to a close – another challenging one for most of us unfortunately. While we all hope for a shift back to opportunities to gather more, celebrate and adventure beyond our local areas, YW is grateful once again for our neighbours and our community.

YW CELEBRATES HOLIDAYS

HOLLY JOLLY CELEBRATION BY THE FAMILY RESOURCE NETWORK

A Holly Jolly Celebration was hosted last week by our Family Resource Network, including a hilarious interactive Magic Show with Christopher Cool, an invitation to shake out the sillies, and a story time.

YW Calgary’s Family Resource Network supports families with skills to strengthen family relationships, teach children and teens to cope with trauma and foster well-being.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS WITH JACQUIE DREW

Local musician, and business owner Jacquie Drew donated her time to entertain residents, Childcare kids, and employees with some holiday music last week.

We are so thankful to Jacqueline for contributing her time and talent to bring this bit of holiday cheer!

MINDFULICITY

The COVID-19 Pandemic has blurred the lines between physical work boundaries and our professional lives.

Whether you are going back to the office, remaining remote, or opting for a hybrid of the two, setting healthy boundaries is key to your success. In a Coffee Break with Mindfulicity on January 11, 2022 at 10:00 am MST, we will discuss what healthy boundaries look like, how to set them, and how to keep them.

Join the Mindfulicity team as we tackle how to have sticky conversations with your boss and your team. Pour your coffees and see you there!

A SEASON OF GIVING

WELCOME BASKET DONATION

Lean In Calgary donated their time to make up 10 welcome baskets for YW clients. These baskets were filled with high-need items, and went a long way to spread some holiday cheer.

YW values all the time and resources to help make our residents feel welcome and comfortable throughout the year.
