PADI Divemaster Course
January 10
The Divemaster rating is the first step in becoming a PADI professional. 

Whether you are on a career path, or looking to improve your skills, taking the PADI Divemaster course with Ocean Quest will expand your capabilities and make you a better diver. 

Throughout your Divemaster program you will work closely with a PADI Instructor expanding your diving theory, knowledge, and skills to a professional level. In addition, you will learn the techniques used by professionals to supervise diving activities and assist divers undergoing training activities.
PADI Sidemount Diver Course
February 3
Ocean Quest are Vancouver's Sidemount experts and can give you advice for Sidemount training, equipment and configuration.

There are many benefits to sidemount configuration including:
  • Better balance and trim
  • More streamlined
  • Added redundancy which makes diving safer
  • Easy access to your valves while diving
  • More available gas for longer dives (perfect for Nitrox diving!)

Ocean Quest Foundations of Diving Specialty Course

Exclusive only to Ocean Quest!

The Foundations of Diving Specialty Course will take your diving to the next level! Divers of all levels have taken this course, including instructors, to improve their foundational diving skills.

The most common feedback we get for this course is "This is one of the best courses I have ever taken!"
PADI/Tec Rec Wreck Penetration
Specialty Course - April 5
Exclusive to Ocean Quest! Developed by Greg McCracken, PADI Course Director, Technical Instructor Trainer

The Wreck Penetration Specialty course is exclusively taught by Ocean Quest Dive Centre and is the only Wreck Course that focuses on the specific skills and knowledge to properly dive inside the overhead Wreck environment.

Certification will allow you to penetrate wreck within recreational limits are defined as 130 linear ft / 40 metres from the surface and within the natural light zone of the entrance.

The PADI Wreck Specialty Course does not meet these requirements.

Technical Diver Training at
Ocean Quest
For over 25 years, Ocean Quest is only dive centre that has actively and consistently conducted technical diver training in the Greater Vancouver area.

Outside of the typical tech skills, we will continually focus on the foundational skills - buoyancy, trim, propulsion and awareness and how they apply to the technical diving environment. We are extremely detailed oriented and will work with you until you have a solid execution of all the necessary skills of a tech diver. We will test and build upon your ability to problem solve as an individual and as a team member through scenario based failures and drills.

We are experts in decompression theory. All of our technical diving programs include extensive and up to date decompression theory so you have the knowledge and understanding on how to plan and execute decompression dives. We will guide you on how to apply decompression theory to your dive plans so you have full understanding of best practices and strategies for your technical dive planning. We don't teach you to just blindly follow your computer or decompression software.

We exclusively teach specific team diving principles and "Human Factors" to improve the successful outcomes of your technical dives.

The PADI Deep Specialty program will give you the confidence to dive to depths up to 130 ft / 40 m.

Ocean Quest offers the most comprehensive Deep Specialty training in greater Vancouver by introducing you to additional concepts that will improve your awareness and skills while deep diving.
