TLC Family Resource Center has Board Member Opportunities
TLC Family Resource Center will celebrate 30 years of serving the Claremont community and surrounding region in 2022. TLC has grown over the past few years and is seeking out new board members to join its team. As a volunteer Board Member, you will be providing support and guidance to an agency that is having a positive impact on the lives of your neighbors and your community every day. TLC provides family support programs, peer recovery services, youth programs, and activities and services for our LGBTQIA+ community. Board Membership is a rewarding experience at TLC and only takes 2-4 hours of your time each month. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity with TLC, contact Stephanie Slayton at stephanie@tlcfamilyrc.org or 603-542-1848 ext.322. We would love to connect and learn more about you!

A Note from Arrowhead Recreation Club
Being 100% volunteer always need volunteers for winter time operations.

Outside, for lifts, tubing area operations, ski and snowboard instructors. Inside with kitchen help, concessions, ski shop, first aid, weekly cleaning and other tasks.
Also for Vacation periods need staff for some weekday periods and occasionally a few operations people for some midweek private rentals for a couple of hours.

We are looking for people to take a more active role in leadership positions as we need some new blood and enthusiasm. Don't assume others are stepping up, because they are not.
Looking to add people to the Board of Directors to include advisory help in all areas of the organization and to fill officer positions. like public relations, marketing, recruitment, mechanical maintenance, heavy equipment knowledge, grant writers, activities coordinator and anyone with a skill or who just wants to help.

If anyone wants to learn more or would like to join us, please contact us. We also have new brochures to distribute.

On the web site there is lots on information and you can fill out the one time seasonal tubing release form, purchase gift cards and season passes.

Visual Verse IV – Diversity is Beauty Now Available

The Literary Arts Guild of the Center for the Arts, Lake Sunapee Region and the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum proudly announce the publication of a new book titled Visual Verse - Diversity is Beauty.

"The Literary Arts Guild invited the Mount Kearsarge Indian Museum to become our 2021 partner in the now-fulfilled hope that their chosen pictures would deepen poetic honoring of the beauty and the diversity that became our mutual theme," said Nancy Marashio, Chair of the Literary Arts Guild.

This exquisite book is a collection of beautiful photos submitted by the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, depicting many dimensions of Native American life and culture. They range from the colorful movement of the Ribbon Dancer's regalia and the intricate detail of a dyed porcupine quill basket to the birch womb of a canoe where children of the Dawn Land huddled. Each photo is accompanied by an inspirational poem skillfully crafted by a member of the John Hay Poetry Society.

"The Mt Kearsarge Indian Museum is proud to collaborate with the Literary Arts Guild and the John Hay poets," said Andy Bullock, Director of the museum. "We are honored to share images of Native art, museum events and some of the hundreds of species of plants that abound at the museum's campus. The culmination of this collaboration is the release of an outstanding book of poetry, just in time for Christmas, and we hope you'll support these organizations by purchasing a copy."

Visual Verse - Diversity is Beauty is available in Warner at the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum and MainStreet Bookends. It also may be purchased at Morgan Hill Bookstore in New London, Gibson's Book Store in Concord, Center for the Arts at the New London Inn and through the CFA or MKIM websites.

The Literary Arts Guild is a branch of the Center for the Arts, whose purpose is to support and promote the creative written arts. The John Hay Poetry Society honors its namesake by promoting poets and poetry, and the Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum is a highly respected center for the preservation of Native American history and for sharing Native Cultures.
