The Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton brings historical characters to life during an afternoon matinee, complete with an interactive Q&A session.
Attendees will spend an afternoon with Chautauqua actor, Rebecca Jimerson, portraying "Empress of the Blues" singer Bessie Smith as she influenced famous artists such as Louis Armstrong and resonated through the very soul of America in the 1920s.

The Lending Library
Open M-F, 9-4 pm You may borrow up to 6 books, enjoy reading in the lounge, or take them home and return when finished.

Golden Circle Group
This group meets on Mondays, 12:30 - 2:30 pm at the RLCC. Bring a project to work on. (FREE to attend). The Golden Circle, a group of creative retirees, works year-round to create handcrafted goods, which they sell and donate to local charities.
Mahjong (American Version) Wednesdays, 1 - 4 pm (drop-in fee $2)
