We begin by hoping this Holiday Season brings joy and blessings to you and your families. Betty and I are extremely thankful for your support as we negotiate away from the pandemic and into recovery. The travel industry continues to rebound very robustly with some portions of the industry returning to pre-pandemic levels.

Some industry news: Royal Caribbean announces that it is the first major cruise operator to sail from the US using renewable diesel fuel. This fuel contains less carbon than traditional marine fuels. Celebrity Cruises announced that all guests, regardless of vaccination status can now sail on its ships. Effective this past November, passengers will no longer be required to provide proof of pre-departure testing, except for specific sailings where vaccination, testing, or certain precautions are required by law in countries of origination or countries being visited.

Royal Caribbean has stationed the Navigator of the Seas in the Port of Los Angeles. We enjoyed a 5-Day Thanksgiving Week departure with some of our family, and our 11- and 6-year-old granddaughters gave the experience a huge thumbs up. Upon our return, our debarkation through the customs area was as fast as we have ever experienced. The process is called “Biometric Screening.” This process is secure and contact-less. Your face is photographed and checked against a passport or visa photograph on file in DHS systems. Our verification took less than 5 seconds! Princess has announced it will be utilizing this process at the Port of San Diego. Look for it to be established industry wide in the coming year.

Are you ready to visit Japan? Take a look at our just announced cruise from Tokyo to Taiwan stopping in seven Japanese ports and two in Taiwan.

Also new this month are a New Zealand cruise and an Australian cruise. These cruises can be reserved individually or together. These are back-to-back cruises on the Celebrity Edge sailing in February 2024.

Also new this month is a Round-trip Los Angeles cruise on Princess to Cabo. Contact us as soon as possible as final payment is due now.

The Thanksgiving cruise out of Los Angeles was so enjoyable, we’re going to do it again, this time on a 7-Day, Mexican Riviera cruise. We hope you will Join Us!

We also announced a Christmas, 2023 Caribbean sailing out of Fort Lauderdale departing on December 22 on the Celebrity Silhouette. As we just experienced, holiday cruises are quite festive. If you have never experienced one, this might be a perfect opportunity.

We wish you the happiest of holiday seasons whether you say Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Good Kwanza or Happy Holidays. It is a most special time of the year.
