Dear Clients, Friends, and Neighbors!
Happy Holidays! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, or something else, December is a magical month. On Saturday, I hosted a Hanukkah lunch with my life partner Jonathan. Since being with Jonathan, I have learned more about his beautiful faith, which has made my life much richer. To come together with clients, friends, and neighbors this Hanukkah and celebrate the miracle of resilience and hope in the face of adversity was very meaningful, especially this year. Earlier this week, I also hosted a fun team dinner. I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful team.

December offers our team a chance to catch our breath, review the year, and plan for 2024. We are always striving to do better and improve our craft. At our core, we are in the relationships business. Helping people buy and sell homes is a by-product of those trusted relationships.
Some of the things we are grateful for this year include:
| | |
The Marin County year in review saw a notable decrease in single family home sales (SFH) with - 25% in all price points and - 33% $5M + from 2022. Notably, in the $5M+ luxury price point, Tiburon sales were down -59%, Mill Valley sales were down -63%, Ross sales were down - 62%, Kentfield sales were flat. Only Belvedere sales were up with an increase of +138%. See below: BAREIS MLS. | |

Yesterday, the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady, and the central bank’s rate-hiking campaign appears to be over, with three rate reductions on the horizon for 2024. As a result, stocks staged a broad rally, resulting in a record day on Wall Street with the Dow Jones Industrials breaking 3700 for the first time. This is much-needed news for the housing market, and I anticipate many sidelined buyers and locked-in homeowners jumping back into the market.
Tomorrow, our team is hosting a thank-you breakfast for all the vendors and professionals we work with to serve our clients. These strategic partners are critical in helping us maintain the high touch, full-service standard of excellence our clients appreciate and expect from us.
We are working hard on preparing multiple properties for the spring 2024 market. If our stable of listings are any indication of what is to come, I am cautiously optimistic that more much-needed inventory will hit the market in 2024.
On behalf of our entire team, I wish you and yours a great holiday. We are so appreciative of every one of you.
All the best,
