Gosh, it's hard to see 🔍 to knit or crochet during these dark evenings before the Winter Solstice!
We can always resort to task lamps or knitting during the day, but here are a few tips for keeping hooks and needles busy.
1/ Choose lighter colors. Yarn that is a light or white or bright color is MUCH easier to see. Those stitches will flow from needle to needle easily. Crocheters will find that using a lighter color makes the double crochets and chains much more doable.
2/ Use larger gauge tools. It's easier to work with larger gauge needles and hooks, too. That means using a heavier yarn.
We like Brown Sheep's Lamb's Pride worsted or its cushy feel in hats and scarves. It's 85% wool with 15% mohair in a single ply that knits up wonderfully.
