Thank you
DISPLAYS2GO
for volunteering with the Volunteers-In-Parks program in the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, for the THIRD time!
DISPLAYS2GO contacted BHC in October looking for another Day of Service opportunity for its employees. Previously, DISPLAYS2GO participated in volunteer events led by BHC along the Blackstone River Bikeway in Blackstone River State Park, repairing broken fence posts, clearing brush, marking storm drains, and more.
This time, volunteer help was needed at the Valentine Whitman House in Lincoln, RI, to pack and remove furniture and artifacts from the historic home which has been sold by the Town of Lincoln to Preserve Rhode Island. The team did a tremendous job in helping Pat Choiniere, the caretaker of the Valentine Whitman House for the past 28 years. Not only did the team leave Pat in good shape, it was a tremendous team building activity, filled with problem solving and laughter. The Day of Service on November 5 resulted in a $1,068.06 in-kind contribution to the Volunteers-In-Parks program.
To inquire about a Day of Service for your business or organization, contact Suzanne Buchanan at Volunteer@BlackstoneHeritageCorridor.org or call 508-234-4242.
