From women winning elections across the state, to a new Governor who is filling his new administration with dynamic women leaders, to our successful 2018 Women's Conference and our work around the state inspiring women in leadership, it is no wonder that we are a little tired!

I am personally appreciative for the women who serve on the California Women Lead Board of Directors and to our president, Cassandra Pye.  Click here to continue reading...

#WomenWednesday

Last month, California Women Lead, in partnership with Close the Gap CA, Equal Rights Advocates and How Women Lead, announced #WomenWednesday, a day to raise awareness, generate resources and inspire activism to support women's leadership in both private and public sectors in California.

Women from all over the state joined us the inaugural year by donating to one of the founding #WomenWednesday partners, or a partner of their choice that shares our vision of equality for women in California. Our shared goals include:
  • Achieving gender equality in elected office by building on the wave of women elected to Congressional, state and local offices on November 6th;
  • Increasing the numbers of women in executive positions, as founders and entrepreneurs and on corporate governing and management boards;
  • Ending the gender wage gap across all sectors.
With #WomenWednesday, we hope to channel the outrage of #MeToo and #TimesUp into positive lasting change.

Look for more updates on this movement next year.
