GMR 2021 Charity Fundraiser for the Vermont Food Bank

Our club is once again conducting a fundraiser for the benefit of the Vermont Food Bank whose efforts reach all corners of our state. GMR hosted a similar event in 2020 and raised over $6,600 through member contributions, the GMR matching donation of $2,000 and a PCA donation of $750.

While the 2020 fundraiser was successful, it would be great if we could top last year’s total. You may not be aware, but food banks are able to purchase more food per dollar than the average consumer. Making a donation to the Vermont Food Bank is a great way to help fellow Vermonters who may need support during challenging times. The Board encourages you to be generous by donating to this wonderful Vermont based organization.

To make a donation please go to the Vermont Food Bank website at https://fundraise.vtfoodbank.org/GMR_Charity-Drive_2021. The process is secure, fast and easy.

Best Regards and Happy Holidays!

Name Tags

We recommend that new members and their spouses or partners purchase "official" Green Mountain Club name tags for use at all GMR events. Please email gmrpca@gmail.com to request them for you and your spouse or partner, and our treasurer, Christina McCaffrey, will try to get them for you in time for the next event. The cost is $20.00 per name tag.
Want your spouse or partner to get these
Green Mountain PCA Newsletters?

When you joined PCA (recently or forever ago) you no doubt listed your partner or spouse as a co-member. Many co-members however have not provided their email addresses. If your spouse/partner would like to receive the Mountaineer as well as yourself, have them call PCA HQ at (410) 381-0911‬ and give PCA the information. It only takes a few minutes as PCA is very efficient. That way you both will receive The Mountaineer and other pertinent club emails.

If your co-member remembers his or her co-member login (it is separate from the main member) you can do it that way too-- but calling is probably the quickest.
Member Feature:
Send us your photos!

We have started a feature highlighting a different member in the GMR Mountaineer with his or her Porsche. If you would like to be featured in future newsletter please submit some photos of you and your car along with a paragraph or two explaining why you joined the GMR, your favorite drives or whatever!

Please reply to this email with your photo and information.
