Illuminated Christmas Parade

This Saturday, November 28th is a special day in O'Fallon. Bring your family downtown and be part of the tradition!

While big retailers get the most attention with Black Friday doorbusters, our local shops have their own holiday event - Small Business Saturday. On this day, people are encouraged to shop at small businesses, which provide a level of personal service that can't be matched. Try strolling through Downtown O'Fallon to look at the beautiful store windows, browse the unique selections, and grab a bite to eat. You will probably come across some good friends and neighbors out enjoying the day as well. There is a fairly complete listing of all the businesses downtown with links to their websites at www.OTownIL.org. If you know of a business that is missing, just let us know and we will gladly add it.

As the sun goes down and the strings of lights wrapped around the lampposts come on, it will be time to get ready for the O'Fallon Illuminated Christmas Parade (sponsored by VFW Post 805 and the O'Fallon Homecoming & Fall Festival Association). This charming event kicks off at 6:00pm at Community Park and travels north on Lincoln Avenue and west on First Street, ending at Oak Street.

After the dazzling display, children can visit and get FREE pictures with Santa near the intersection of First & Vine (sponsored by Downtown O'Fallon, Inc.) The Santa hut will also be open Saturday, December 5, 12, and 19 from noon to 4pm and Christmas Eve from noon to 3pm.

Happy Holidays!
