JSU Canyon Center

Holiday Update

A Note from the Director:

It seems that this year has flown by faster than ever but, nevertheless, every day at the Canyon Center has been strangely memorable and rewarding.

Arguably, our spectacular location next to the waterfall, being surrounded by forest, flowers and wildlife is the best part of our work but, to be truthful, its not.

It’s the people. It’s the children, teachers and bus drivers coming to our educational programs. It’s the church group that shows up at 3:30, just before closing. It’s the sons and daughters given a few dollars to shop in our gift store. It’s the wedding party that celebrates their special occasion from our back deck. It’s the family, looking exhilarated after a long hike. But most importantly to me, it’s our team and I’m proud to mention them by name: Cynthia Anderson, Cindy Fitzpatrick, Brooks Gallman, Anna Lindsey, Tiffany Montgomery, Sharon Simmons, Beth Sewell, Rebekah Taylor, Cheryl Tucker, and Shyann Wells.

The team has grown over the years, enabling us to do our best in meeting the growing demands. We look forward to continued growth but more importantly we strive to provide memorable and rewarding experiences for each and every one of our guests.

So, try not to miss anything! Keep an eye on these newsletters and Facebook to use and share our news. But in the meanwhile, on behalf of the full team, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas and, wishing you the very best in 2023!
