It hardly seems possible that we have reached the halfway point of our academic year. While most people associate this time of the year with the holidays and winter break, December has become a special time for Lancaster City Schools because of the tremendous amount of giving that takes place.
We refer to the final weeks of the calendar year as the Season of Caring and this year, once again, we are blown away by the acts of kindness carried out by our students, their families, and our amazing staff. Did you know by the end of December we will have completed 48 acts of giving and provided holiday gifts to 29 local families? This kindness was provided by hundreds of people affiliated with our school district. We are dedicating this issue of the newsletter to them!
Please take a moment to hear more from Superintendent Hale.
