JFS Delaware is excited to announce our newest program...
More than 100,000 people in Delaware have filed for unemployment since COVID-19 became a public health crisis. In response to the increased need for holistic wellness and coaching support services, JFS Delaware recently launched the Employment Support Network, an innovative approach to support Delawareans struggling with the complex challenges of sudden unemployment.
|
|
The Employment Support Network connects unemployed individuals to a team of trained staff AND volunteers dedicated to helping each client meet personal and professional goals. Through personalized coaching, strategic goal-setting, weekly communication, and ongoing one-on-one emotional wellness support, the team helps each participant build their network, boost their confidence, increase access to resources, and take the necessary steps towards regaining employment and overall stability.

“Due to the sheer magnitude of the current crisis, the unemployment system is not equipped to address the holistic needs of individuals and their families... we need a system that specifically links mental health providers to those recently unemployed and works to rebuild community connectedness.”
— Latasha Coley, Program Director
