The Garner Area church basketball league tournament begins tomorrow!

Our next program series, Faith in an Anxious World , is February 9 through March 1 and will help us understand that God enters our anxious situations and uses it to nurture growth; we will also discover spiritual practices to help us navigate daily life.
Young Adult Sunday School
The 2020 New Year has brought a new Sunday School class for young adults at Holland's UMC. It doesn't matter if you are single or married with children, come join us and check it out! We meet Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall from 9:45 am - 10:45 am. The class is currently doing a study by Kyle Idleman entitled, Not a Fan; attendance every Sunday is not required.

Wednesday Night Live
Join us Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm for Wednesday Night Live!

This week is hosted by Hand-in-Hand and we will be serving broccoli chicken casserole, corn, rolls, and desserts.

Dinner will be served at 5:45 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Spiritual Gifts Discovery

We are going to push the date for our Spiritual Gifts Discovery class back two weeks. Come discover your spiritual gifts in a one afternoon workshop lead by Jeremy Absher! The new date is Sunday Feb. 16 from 2-5 pm. Sign ups are in the narthex.  Hope to see you there!
Stephen Minister Prayer Support

In addition to Communion Sundays, Stephen Ministers are available every Sunday to pray with you before or after church. If you feel led to pray, look for someone with a Stephen Minister name tag who would feel blessed to pray with you!
ASP Auction

ASP's annual auction will be held on February 22 from 5-8 pm . A BBQ chicken dinner will be served. A silent auction and baked goods will be available during dinner. ASP Valentine's Babysitting

ASP will be hosting its annual Valentines Day babysitting on February 15th from 5-9 pm in the youth room. Donations will be accepted to help fund the teams from Holland's working in the Appalachian mountains this summer. Dinner will be served.
El Salvador Mission Trip

Emmaus Walk
The Walk to Emmaus for men is March 5-8 , 2020, and the women’s Walk is May 14-17 , 2020. If you have someone whom you are sponsoring, this is the time to get the application in, especially so for men because the men’s Walk comes up so soon. If you want to participate as a pilgrim, contact Rod Poole at 919-721-9161 for an application, or ask anyone else at Holland’s who has done the Walk. 
Providence Presbyterian's
Women's Day
"Walking with Jesus in word, in Prayer, and in Spirit"
Join us this Saturday, February 8 from 8 am - 1 pm for Providence Presbyterian's Women's Day. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Registration is $20. Please register online by this Wednesday, February 5, at www.providencepresb.org . The speaker will be Phyllis Elvington, who is well known for her energetic, uplifting, and well-prepared style as a speaker/leader for Bible studies, missions studies, and prayer retreats. What Would Jesus Eat? Presentation
Jesus calls us to serve. In order to serve we must take care of our bodies which are God's property. Part of taking care of our bodies is what we put into them that provides fuel for our activities and service. Next Sunday, February 9 at 2 pm, Chris Gross will present What Would Jesus Eat that gives a Biblical basis on how we should fuel our bodies and how to be good stewards of God's property. The presentation has been emailed in advance so that you may review and come with questions -- if you need it resent to you, please email katie@hollandsumc.org.

Men's Bible Study

Join us Monday mornings at 7 am for the Men's Bible Study in Rev. Rich's office. We are studying the book, 7 Men by Eric Mexaxas.
All men are invited and welcomed!
SAMARITAN'S PANTRY
Samaritan's Pantry is a church-wide ministry to help those in need. Each month, we suggest an item of the month, or you can bring an item you have on hand. A donation basket is located in the hallway near the church office.
