Holland's Highlights
“And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his  span of life?”
-Luke 12:25
Here are the latest opportunities to strengthen
your faith and connect with your
brothers and sisters in Christ.
In order to reduce exposure and help slow the spread of the virus within our church community, we have decided to cancel UMYF until further notice.

Holland's Kids
We have so many exciting ways for your family to plug in over the next few months. Please read below and visit Hollandskids.org often for updates & RSVP's!

Children's Church: Our children's church class has been growing! For children's church, children begin in the sanctuary during the 11am service and are dismissed after the Children's Moment. This is a great way for our children to attend our "big church" services, but it allows them to receive an age appropriate lesson during the sermon. We need help for Children's Church. Please check the signup often to help with this class.

Easter Eggstravaganza: Join us on Saturday, April 4 at 10am for a short program, egg hunt, and craft. This event is open to families with infants through 5th graders. We always welcome youth volunteers to help hide the eggs! Check out our website (above) for more info!

4th & 5th Grade Church Lock-in: We will be sending out more information in April to our 4th and 5th grade families. Event will take place on Friday, May 29.

Vacation Bible School: VBS will be June 14-17. We will be announcing the theme at our Easter Eggstravaganza event!

Volunteers: Please check our signup regularly to help fill our open slots on Sunday mornings. We are in need of Children's Church leaders and 4th/5th grade leaders.

Sunday School: In Sunday School this month, our preschoolers are learning that Jesus is the best leader we can follow. Our elementary students are learning about forgiveness. Visit our site to learn more!

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us! They bring so much joy to our church!
The Bishop of the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, Hope Morgan Ward, has asked all United Methodist Churches in the NC Conference to cancel worship services until further notice. In the meantime, you can join us virtually on Sunday mornings through our Facebook page or Website for a weekly sermon and worship experience.

Giving tithe is still available through our website at  www.hollandsumc.org  and clicking the "give" button in the top right corner. You may also send it by mail (9433 Ten-Ten Road, Raleigh, NC 27603).

The church office will be closed , but if you have any urgent questions you may still reach us on the office number or by email.

For anyone venturing out, please keep the following in mind:

1.  If you feel unwell, if you have a compromised immune system, or if you have a fever or cough, please stay home.   Per guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, if you have fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, please seek medical care from your doctor.
2. If you do feel well and are otherwise healthy, remember you don't want to become a carrier to someone who is vulnerable. So, please wash your hands regularly and use good cough hygiene (using tissues or coughing into the inside of your elbow).
3. When appropriate, please refrain from shaking hands. Instead of a handshake, bump elbows, wave, or show the "peace" sign to your neighbors.
4. Please call and check on elderly friends and neighbors, as well as those who are undergoing chemo/radiation, and those who are recovering from surgery.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to call the church office at 919-772-5294 or contact us through the website.

We have revamped our website!

Same site, new additions!  www.HollandsUMC.org

With our updated site, you are now able to create an account and view an online church directory for our members. Each account must be approved, so anyone outside of Holland's will not be able to view our directory.

In order to get an account, you must request one through our website  (click "Contact Us" and then "HUMC Account Request" and fill out the form)  and wait for approval. You are only able to view the directory by signing in to your account. This way your information is only visible to our Holland's church family.

At this time, if an email address is shared between two or more members of a family, only one name can be associated to that email address. Family members can be added without an assigned email address, but cannot have separate contact information without a separate email account. We are hoping this issue can be solved in the near future.

Once approved, you will receive an email from Churchspring no-reply and the subject line will say "Welcome to the Church Member Directory!". Follow the instructions to complete your account and create your own password. From there you will be able to complete your personal profile to add family members and any contact information you would like your Holland's church family to be able to view.

We hope you all enjoy this new addition and the ability to easily access contact information for your friends here at Holland's UMC!

Please call the church office if you have any additional questions! 919-772-5294

Join us Sunday mornings on our Facebook page or Website for a virtual worship service!
We are a caring community that invites and equips people to follow Jesus.
