On behalf of our greater school community, we are pleased to announce that Assistant Principal Kevin Medeiros, a 2007 Haybaler alumnus, has been selected as the next principal of Hollister High School, effective July 1. He will succeed Adrian Ramirez, who announced in February that he has accepted the San Benito High School District’s newly-created Coordinator of Intervention position, starting in the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
Mr. Medeiros, who earned an associates degree from Gavilan College, a bachelor of science in biology with an emphasis in pre-medicine from California State University Monterey Bay, and a teaching credential and master’s in education degree from National University, has served as an assistant principal this year after seven years teaching mathematics. Prior to that, he taught seventh and eighth grade at Tres Pinos Elementary School.
He said that he is “confident in my ability to add a positive impact to the principal position,” after having the opportunity “to collaborate with students, staff and parents to create a positive learning environment” in his assistant principal’s role, along with experience as the summer school principal and assistant principal, as well as the migrant summer school lead.
