So, here's a little story of our fantastic staff, volunteers and team work.
External repairs from the car accident at
Agape
are done, but we still have to remove and install the walk-ins. In the meantime, we need to keep on keeping on.
Fo
rmer Chef, and current Site Manager,
Bobby,
found us an old inexpensive but repairable baby walk in. Then, while our brilliant volunteer engineer
Davey Nielsen
started pulling, rewiring and repairing, our Maintenance Superhero
Paul
built a little roof for it, using re-purposed lumber. The result is this incredibly camp-like portable fridge that we think is, well, just adorable. Once the new fridge and freezer are up and running, this little beauty will be ceremoniously hauled to Denton Dining Hall for use in our summer program.
We have good, clever, talented people here at Holmes Camp!
