Holmes Camp News
Your Support Keeps Us Going
As you might imagine, our income stream has stopped since we are closed to guests during this pandemic. Any support you can offer during this difficult time would be greatly appreciated.
Executive Director, Bryan recorded this prayer for last week's Hudson River Presbytery worship service on Maundy Thursday. It is a prayer we all know and need to lean on right now. We will get through this!   Video Link
Holmes camp sustained some damage from yesterday's storm. A large tree fell at Cabin 1 pulling the electric cables from the building and damaging the roof. It landed on the Gaga Pit, which appears to be undamaged. There are also power lines down near Denton Dining hall.

If you choose to hike today please avoid both these sites as the lines are charged and very dangerous! The electric company has been called and will be here today.
We hope everyone is safe and, those who are able, are sheltering at home.

If you would like to come to Holmes to walk the trails, be sure to practice social distancing and please call or text Bryan at 845-235-6458 , then come on up. A walk in the woods can go a long way to help with cabin fever.

While on site, please do not enter any buildings or cross any construction fences or caution tape!  There may be trees down from yesterday's storm so be careful and report anything you might find. Avoid the areas around Denton Dining Hall and Cabin 1. If you are unsure, please ask Bryan for guidance.
We are continuing to accept registrations for Summer Camp, with the hope that the warmer weather will bring better health and freedom to all. As long as it is safe to do so, we will welcome your campers and let them have some much needed time to run free!
