WORKING HARD WHILE STAYING DISTANT
Staff members and volunteers at Holmes Camp are completing some long needed work while maintaining social distance.

While the camp farm is currently in hibernation, we do hope to re-imagine that program in the near future. As such, the infrastructure needs to be maintained. Many thanks to Mark and Darby Ainsworth for working hard to straighten up the farm and plant a vegetable garden using the farm beds. And to staff members Bobby and Steve for retrieving the stone wall that greets most of us as we approach camp from the Interstate. (Above)
We've also been working hard on enhancing the trail system, and two sections of the trails that had been lost over the years have been established. The red trail now continues from the Southwest side of Westminster lake to the Lodge. The blue trail is now reestablished from behind the farm up to its intersection with the yellow trail. The five mile blue loop that borders the property is again intact. (Above)

We are looking forward to days when we are busy serving people again, but in the meantime, it's satisfying to check off some of the items we have been meaning to get to!
HIGHLIGHTING THE TEAM
Bobby Kraus, Site Manager and Camp Alumni
"A person's true character is revealed by what he does when no one is watching."

We are blessed to have a small, but mighty, dedicated staff here at Holmes. Over the next few weeks we will be using Facebook and Instagram to shine a light on each one and highlighting how they make a difference here at the camp - even in this time when very few people are getting to see it!

Join us on Facebook and Instagram to send some love to these amazing folks! Or visit the updated Staff page of our website to learn more about Holmes Camp and Retreat Centers staff. A new staffer will be highlighted (and then updated on our website) every few days. We started with Bobby Kraus - Site Manager Extraordinaire!
