Holmes Camp News
Today the non-profit community (That's us, we are a non-profit.) is celebrating #GivingTuesdayNow . A day to come together... to give, to help, to thank and to heal.

Whether you give your voice, your time or your money, we hope you will find a way to make a difference in your communities and help people in need.

And, from all of us at Holmes Camp and Retreat Center -- we want to share a big THANK YOU to everyone who reached out these last few weeks with encouragement and support! We are so grateful.
It is with much disappointment that we have decided to cancel our Confirmation Retreat scheduled for May 15.  We had hoped to proceed with some adjustments, but with restrictions only beginning to loosen by the 15th, we feel for everyone's safety, it's best to cancel.

If you have rescheduled your Confirmation ceremony or are interested in attending this retreat at a later date, we are open to that possibility. We'd be happy to discuss this option further. Reach out to Holmes@HolmesCamp.org for more information.
Finally an answer to that age old question: What  does  a Camp Director do, when the work-day is done, it's beautiful outside, and he can't go to the gym or for that matter, anywhere else?

Answer : He braves poison ivy, prickers, and ticks to recover old stone walls from obscurity. Below is an example of a before and after.

Holmes Camp is replete with old stone walls from the days when most of our forests were farmland. Bryan insists this is the best combination of a workout and therapy!

1 acre down, 549 to go. Onward!
Do you have a cool memory or sentimental item from your time at camp? SHARE it with us! Take a picture/send a note to Holmes@Holmescamp.org . You may get featured in our weekly E-News! Make sure to include any campers names, the year and a short descriptions.
We are still hopeful that camp will move forward this summer, so we are continuing to accept registrations. As long as it is safe to do so, we will welcome your campers and let them have some much needed time to run free!
